The color of a showcase light can be more noticeable when the light is off. This is especially true of a gantry-style light that stands inside the display case: its housing is visible alongside the glass edges, metal trim, and product trays. Choosing a color means deciding whether the fixture should blend into the case or become a visible part of the display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our SP-17233 gantry light<\/strong> is available in a range of surface colors. Silver, gold, and black are three examples shown in our product samples. We usually start by looking at the materials used in the actual showcase and the angles from which customers will view it. From there, we can discuss a suitable housing color with the design team.<\/p>\n\n\n

Should the Light Blend In or Echo the Case Finishes?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The SP-17233 stands inside the showcase, so both its uprights and its horizontal light bar can be seen. If the products should hold most of the visual attention, the housing color can take its cue from the back panel, frame, or base. If the case has prominent metal details, the light can also echo those lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Does it take attention away from the products?<\/strong> View the case from the front and at an angle with the light both on and off. Check the fixture’s outline, reflections in the glass, and reflections from surrounding metal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Are the requirements clear across the project?<\/strong> If several showcases or other light fixtures need to share an appearance, identify the relevant components early and use the approved physical sample as the reference for later discussions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If you have a target color swatch, a sample of the case finish, or a color reference number, share it during the discussion. A color number can help communicate the intended direction, but the finished appearance should still be reviewed on the selected fixture and sample.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
